"Captain Leslie" (aka Leslie Hellman) is known for her dynamic, creative STEAM (Science/Arts crossover) programming and is passionate about utilizing her skills as a professional actress, a creative drama specialist and informal science educator to make Science "come alive."  She holds a BS in Theatre (Northwestern University) and is a member of SAG/AFTRA. She has an MS in Science Education from CSULB, where she was the recipient of the 2018 Outstanding Thesis in Science Education. Her Programming has been featured at Kidspace Children’s Museum, The Chicago Children’s Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry and hundreds of civic events, summer camps, kids clubs, school assemblies and community festivals in SoCal.
